Pakkie Instructions

Step One Step Two

Position Pakkie sling on seat as follows:

  • White side facing up with web straps showing.
  • Top loop handles over the top of seat back.
  • Bottom loop handles at bottom edge of seat cushion.
  • Buckle upper security strap under person's arms and adjust snug across chest.
  • Buckle lower security strap and adjust snug across lap.
  • Adjust to fit using loose straps. (Shown in inset)
Step Three Step Four
  • One staff member stands behind seat, puts hands through Pakkie's top loops and grasps straps.  (Shown in inset)
  • Second staff member stands next to the seat front and grasps bottom loop handles.
  • At the count of three, staff members lift person up from seat, over arm rests and into second seat.
   

*CAUTION*
READ BEFORE USING

  • Inspect straps and hardware before each use.
  • Do not use if worn or torn edges are present.
  • Larger persons may require more than two staff members to lift

 

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
  • Do not bleach
  • Machine wash cold
  • Mild detergent
  • Tumble dry-low setting
  • Do not iron
